Christi VS. Truck

April 22, 2009

This is a miracle written and recorded by a member of Pastor Pearl’s Church in CO. She attended our church during the Missionary Conference February, 2009.

My name is Christi Steen. On Aug 26, 2006 I was at 92nd and Sheridan in Denver, Colorado. I had gone to Archivers (a scrapbooking store) and then to Wendy’s to eat lunch. I pushed the button to get the walk signal to go across the street to Michaels. I got the walk signal and started walking across the street. I am 4′9″ tall and I saw headlights even with my eye. I heard a crunch on my head. I had been hit by a pick up truck.

The next thing I remember is a man saying, “Hold on the ambulance is coming, hold on”. Then the ambulance got there. They got me to the hospital. The next thing I remember the doctor was telling me that they had done a cat scan and I had a broken femur and that they were going to take me to surgery to put a rod in my leg. My clothes were cut off and I was taken to surgery. A titanium rod was implanted in my leg. I had a broken collarbone and a concussion too.

When the policeman came to see me that night he said I was thrown 20 feet. God had protected me and I felt no pain. If I sat in one position too long there would be a little discomfort. I was in the hospital for 6 days. I was out of work for 3 weeks. I was on a walker for 2 months. I could not go upstairs for 2 months. My bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. I did not get to see or use my bedroom and bathroom for 2 months. I had to walk with a cane for 6 weeks after that.

When I had my last appointment with the doctor I asked him about a lump on the left side of my knee. He said my leg was so small and that it was the screw. He said it could be removed in a day surgery if it bothered me. It did bother me sometimes. It felt like it was scraping against the bone. I went in to have the screw removed and when I came out of the surgery the doctor had removed the whole rod. I am healed now.

Christi has worked hard to get this to us… computer problems, etc; I am thankful for her perseverance. Thank you Christi!

All Night Headache

December 2, 2008

It is truly a small thing compared to the cancers, diabetes, tumors, heart attacks, strokes and other incredible miracles that have happened to members of our church.  But it was miserable last Saturday night when I was up all night with a headache.  In the morning, the pain moved more towards my ear; I really felt I was getting an ear infection.

After my husband Patrick left for choir practice, about 8:15, I was able to fall asleep and then woke up about 12 o’clock and felt just fine, perfectly fine. I am thankful for the healings, even small ones.
